New Yorkers Thank Israeli Soldiers
The Blood Drive at the Manhattan Jewish Experience did lots more than draw blood. It drew people of all ages to a special Thank Israeli Soldiers table to write letters expressing their thanks and support to the young people defending Israel. According to Milena Khozin, who organized the table,
"The families were amazed when I would share about what we do and the tremendous response we receive from the soldiers. They were so happy to know we exist and were left motivated to go online and order packages.
The children were loving the letter writing too! The parents and kids wrote letters together! You would hear parents from afar excitedly asking their kids " Wow, wanna write a letter to an Israeli Soldier?" Then the kids would of course respond yes and skin on over to my booth. It was a beautiful experience and really enjoyed!"
Thanks to Milena, all the volunteers and all the letter writers for saying thanks to Israeli soldiers.
