Our Values
Gratitude
At the heart of everything we do is a profound gratitude for those protecting Israel. A gratitude that shapes our every action and fuels our commitment to supporting them.
National Unity
Our superpower as a Jewish nation lies in our unity. By strengthening soldiers and veterans, we help build a more resilient, unified, and strong Israeli society.
Israel Diaspora Connection
An unbreakable bond connects Jews in Israel and around the world. United by a shared past and future, the Jewish people stand together to support and protect our homeland and those who defend it.
Our Story
It all started 20 years ago...

As new Olim to Israel, our founders felt a deep sense of gratitude to the soldiers who stood on the front lines to protect the country. What began as a personal calling soon became a broader mission, to invite Jews and supporters around the world to express their appreciation to the heroes of the IDF.
They also recognized a unique opportunity: to invest in the next generation of Israelis by strengthening the young men and women who serve, ultimately contributing to a more unified and resilient Israeli society.
From this vision, Thank Israeli Soldiers was born alongside two Israeli nonprofits: Toda L’Tzahal, focused on education, and Momentum, dedicated to helping soldiers transition to civilian life.
Today, thousands of volunteers and hundreds of visiting delegations have joined our mission to empower, embrace, and educate IDF soldiers.
We’ve built strong partnerships across major divisions of the IDF, offering proven, impactful programs while continually adapting to the evolving realities on the ground.

Steve M.
Steve is a longtime friend and a proud U.S. Marine veteran. He knows what it means to serve and has spent his retirement supporting IDF soldiers across Israel. During the war, Steve crisscrossed the country delivering supplies to some of Israel’s most elite combat units. Whether it’s gear, good vibes, or a sizzling steak fresh off the grill, Steve approaches everything like a true Marine aspiring for excellence. In fact, he’s known as the “BBQ King,” having fed over 250,000 soldiers. Steve, thank you for YOUR service and for being a mentor and true friend to the heroes defending Israel!
Ivan S.
When Ivan landed in Israel in December 2023 with 27 duffle bags ready for distribution, he didn’t expect it to grow into a full-on operation! Ivan and his community in Dallas raised funds and delivered over 300 duffle bags filled with essentials for our brave soldiers. They were our first call for hard-to-find items and requests from units that needed urgent fulfillment. Ivan’s leadership, heart, and action have made a lasting impact. He calls this a highlight of his life — and it’s a highlight of ours too.
David P.
Since January 2024, David has been a dependable force on the ground, driving humanitarian supplies to soldiers on the front lines. From picking up essential items from the airport and lending a hand at our central warehouse, David ensures that everything gets where it needs to go — fast. He’s even taken items to his house for soldiers in central Israel who needed a different pick-up location. When IDF soldiers need anything, David is the first to say “I’m in.” He’s a true road warrior for Israel’s heroes!
Raquel G. and Devorah W.
It was a Hanukkah miracle — Devorah and Raquel walked in to our warehouse to see how they could help. After packing a few boxes, it became clear that they could run the place! They jumped in and later found themselves running a booth at a benefit concert that night. Devorah spent almost an entire year in Israel, managing our warehouse operations independently. Raquel became part of the fam, coming to Israel again and again when her school schedule allowed. These women put their entire hearts into supplying our soldiers and we’re so grateful to have them as part of the TIS fam!
Jeremy R.
A longtime friend of TIS, Jeremy reconnected with us after Oct 7th. He was looking for an organization that “gets things done”. Whenever he’s in Israel, Jeremy drives from north to south, personally delivering critical supplies to IDF units — often on the eve of their deployment. “How do our soldiers still not have sleeping bags?” Jeremy asks. With resolve and passion, he steps in to fill the gaps where systems fall short. Quietly heroic and endlessly dependable, Jeremy reminds us that one person can truly make a difference.
The Jewish Center
Since the outbreak of the war, the Jewish Center of Manhattan has been an invaluable partner, volunteering in the warehouse, delivering requested gear, or showing up to show their appreciation to our IDF heroes. After we first met, they took it upon themselves to fulfill orders for everything from winter gear to raptor scissors, flashlights, chargers and more. When they heard that soldiers up north were freezing, they rallied to fund, pack, and personally deliver 100 sleeping bags to Israel. To our family at the Jewish Center: your dedication to our soldiers is inspiring, and your impact is felt across the country. Thank you for being on our team!
Efraim S.
In 2023, Efraim came to Israel for the holidays — but after waking up to sirens on Simchat Torah, he knew he couldn’t just go back. He had just been introduced to TIS on Sukkot and called to see how he could help. From there, he jumped into action, volunteering day and night while still working American hours. Efraim became a lean, mean volunteering machine driving countless hours to deliver critical supplies to soldiers on both the northern and southern borders. Its no coincidence that we met him during this time as he was instrumental in our efforts. Thank you, Efraim, for turning your love of Israel into action!
Tammy B.
Tammy shows up whenever there’s a need — often multiple times a week — with energy, dedication, and a deep love for our soldiers. At the Thank Israeli Soldiers warehouse, Tammy helps sort and pack hundreds of essential items requested directly from army bases across the country. From toiletries to sleeping bags, warm gloves, rain gear, and soft shell jackets — Tammy helps make sure our soldiers are equipped with the supplies they need to stay safe, warm, and ready. Tammy says, “Our soldiers give so much — their time, their love, their lives — for Am Yisrael. This is the least we can do to show them our gratitude.”
David S.
Affectionately known as “David the Driver”, David was the man behind the wheel — and so much more when our soldiers needed him most. He didn’t just deliver gear to bases and Kitot Konenut (emergency response units) across Israel — he helped source, organize, and get the right supplies to the right people. David says, “Most soldiers don’t have the time, funds, or know-how to get essential supplies if they're not issued by the army.” So he stepped in — making sure they had everything they needed to be able to focus on their missions. David, thank you for going the distance — literally — for our heroes!
Jason D.
What started as a casual visit turned into a life-changing connection for Jason. Jason came to Israel with Momentum Unlimited and soon found himself reorganizing the entire TIS warehouse (he really has a knack for it)! Fast forward to when we moved to a new warehouse, and Jason showed up to save the day again. But he didn’t stop there. Back in Toronto, Jason organized a benefit concert to raise funds for Thank Israeli Soldiers — and he’s already dreaming of doing it again. Jason, we love you. You’ve turned every visit into a mission — we’re so grateful to have you as part of the fam!
Jan Harry & Alice
Jan Harry and Alice came to Israel during the war to stand with the Jewish people. Passing our TIS warehouse in Jerusalem, they immediately stepped in and packed deliveries for army units across the country. They also brought more than 100 handmade cards from their community with messages of support for IDF soldiers. Thank you for your kindness, energy, and steadfast friendship.
Shoshana S.
When Tammy Berman introduced Shoshana to TIS, she jumped right in. From packing gear for soldiers stationed across the country to supporting veterans transitioning to civilian life, Shoshana brings heart, purpose, and dedication to every task. “For me, volunteering isn’t just giving back — it’s standing in solidarity with those who stand for us.” With deep empathy and unshakable resolve, Shoshana is helping our heroes rebuild with strength and dignity.
Hillel R.
Hillel says it best: “Hashem sent us straight to y’all.” A nurse with a heart of gold, Hillel first came to our warehouse at the Museum of Tolerance in 2023 and has returned again and again to give of his time and soul. Whether helping in the warehouse or hand-delivering vital supplies across Israel, he brings heart, energy, and a lot of love for the IDF. With the Dallas community behind him, Hillel brought over tens of duffle bags packed with necessities during the war. He’s a true friend and brother to our soldiers!
Talia and Isaac O.
Talia and Isaac Osiel made aliyah from Toronto with their six amazing daughters — and they’ve been giving back since day one! Their connection to TIS started a few years ago when they did a bat mitzvah chesed project, organizing winter care packages for IDF soldiers. The boxes were packed with love at the party and shipped to Israel for TIS to deliver. Now living here, the Osiels were so excited to come help in person! After Oct 7th, they jumped right in at the TIS warehouse — opening deliveries, packing up gear, and sending support straight to army bases. Talia and Isaac have also run with TIS in the Jerusalem Marathon! Thank you, Talia and Isaac. We’re so lucky to have you here in Israel with us!
Momentum Unlimited
Since the war began, tens of Momentum groups from around the world have come to Israel — not just to visit, but to roll up their sleeves! They have packed thousands of care packages and written countless heartfelt letters to soldiers on the front lines. We felt the unity, the motherly love, and the energy they brought, and there is no doubt that it gave a huge boost to our soldiers. To all of the Momentum sisters: thank you for your unwavering love and your unshakable hearts. You remind us that wherever we come from, we are One People, One Family, and together, we can overcome anything!
